The Weapons

A player who knows his or her weapons can go far. Each gun has its own strengths and weaknesses and can be used more effectively with them in mind. Below is a list of all the weapons you will be able to use in the game, as well as information about each. This section is divided into three subsections: Allied weapons, German weapons, and fixed weapons, with all weapons being sorted by classification.

Allied Weapons

These are the weapons that were actually used by the American and British Allied forces during the war.

    1. M-1 Garand
  • The M-1 Garand was the workhorse rifle of the American Allied Forces. It's a sturdy weapon with a relatively high level of damage and accuracy, low rate of fire, and a magazine that holds eight rounds. One drawback to this weapon is that it can't be reloaded until all the magazine rounds have been expended.

    2. Springfield '03 Sniper Rifle
  • This is a lethally accurate rifle that can be devastating in the right hands. The scope allows for a long range of vision as well. It features excellent accuracy, a relatively low rate of fire, and high level of damage.

    3. BAR
  • The BAR is a heavy semiautomatic rifle that was used by British soldiers as far back as World War I. It features a rapid rate of fire, medium level of damage, and medium level of accuracy. Its clip can hold 20 rounds.

    Submachine Guns:

    1. Thompson
  • The Thompson submachine gun is a modified version of the classic 1920s-era Tommy Gun. Also called a trench broom by those who used it, it features a rapid rate of fire, which makes up for its relatively low level of damage. It's a fairly accurate weapon, and it has a clip that holds 20 rounds.

    Grenades:

    1. Mark II Fragmentation Grenade
  • Much better than the German steilhandgrenate due to its small size, the Mark II has a medium explosive radius that damages anything or anyone in the vicinity. Featuring a high level of damage, its range is limited only by how far it can be flung--roughly 30 feet at the farthest. Rate of fire is not applicable, since it is not a fired weapon.

    Heavy Weapons:

    1. Browning Model 11 Shotgun
  • This shotgun is a powerful weapon in close-quarters combat. Since it fires a widening cluster of pellets, its accuracy is directly related to your proximity to the target. The slow rate of fire is offset by the high level of damage it deals out, however, and it can be loaded up with eight rounds at a time.

    2. Bazooka
  • The bazooka is a very powerful, heavy weapon that fires rocket-propelled grenades with incredible precision. It also has a very slow rate of fire--tied for the lowest in the game--and can hold only one RPG at a time. On impact, the RPG it fires deals out proximity damage similar to that of a hand grenade.
