GameSpot's Video Game Graveyard is a feature that is continually changing. As technology progresses and hardware evolves, the arrival--or even the pending arrival--of a new system brings a greater number of games to either the retail shelves or the development-recycling heap. And there are still plenty of old games that have been canceled that we have yet to cover. We have a fairly solid foundation thus far. It's easy to miss news of game cancellations, as most companies don't like to draw attention to games they've shelved or tossed out the door. And that's been the impetus for this feature. We scour our archives and get the scoop on the games that have slipped through the cracks so you don't have to wonder where they went.

The Video Game Graveyard is a chronicle of, or rather a digitized memorial park for, information, screenshots, and movies of the NES, SNES, Saturn, PlayStation, Nintendo 64, arcade, Dreamcast, M2, PlayStation 2, GameCube, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and someday Xbox games that made it to the conceptual stages (and oftentimes beyond) but never saw the light of day--for a variety of reasons detailed in this feature. The games are listed alphabetically by system, beginning with the NES and winding up with the most recent cancellations for the GameCube.

This feature is quite extensive; however, it's not without omission. Don't doubt for a minute that there are games that were merely a gleam in their developers' eyes--and even some 60-percent builds--that the press never caught wind of. So with that in mind, if you have info about a game that was canceled, or if you worked on a canceled game or have more info about the titles we've listed here, e-mail shane@gamespot.com, because we plan to update and expand this feature regularly. Now on to the games...
