3D Family Matters

As most of Rare's previous Donkey Kong games did, Donkey Kong 64 introduced new characters to the Donkey Kong family. Here are the three additions to Donkey Kong 64.

Tiny Kong
Tiny Kong was Dixie Kong's replacement. Like Dixie, Tiny could sail across gaps with the greatest of ease - or maybe not so easily, because the constant spinning would eventually incapacitate her. It was her mini-monkey-shrinking move, however, that allowed her to go where Dixie couldn't.

Lanky Kong
A suspenders-wearing ape, Lanky Kong had stretching abilities that he used to get a leg up on the rest of the Kong clan. Lanky was the gymnast of the new generation, able to walk on his hands, puff up like a balloon, and climb the steepest of hills. Why he had a Rudolph-esque red nose remains a mystery, but his abilities let him unravel most puzzles that the other Kongs could only scratch their heads at and wonder about.

Chunky Kong
Chunky Kong was the powerhouse of the Donkey Kong family. Chunky didn't bother with small arms; he shouldered a bazooka that launched pineapples at switches and Kremlings alike. He also packed a powerful right hand that could knock (almost) any enemy in the game senseless, making him a force to be reckoned with. Though he wasn't as fast as the rest of the apes in his family, he more than made up for it with raw strength.
