Welcome to GameSpotting 83. Don't get too close to my fantasy.
This week marks the first edition of GameSpotting in over a month in which the GameSpot editors have actually participated. "Slackers!" you may be crying, but we would offer two letters in our defense: E and 3. OK, so that's actually a letter and a number, but the point is, E3 left us crying and sucking our thumbs in the fetal position for a good three weeks. But now we're back to our normal selves and ready to sermonize you faithful readers once again! If you disagree with us, you may blaspheme in our forums.
Greg Kasavin/Executive Editor
"It's probably just a matter of time before it becomes much more difficult, if not impossible, to play games in total privacy."
Andrew Park/Senior Editor
"The next time Activision or another publisher has enough class to release a high-quality, stand-alone game like this for free, you can bet I won't be arguing."
Justin Calvert/Associate Editor
"Despite thoroughly enjoying my recent transatlantic trip to Los Angeles for E3, I boarded the plane back to the UK with a distinct feeling of déjà vu."
Ricardo Torres/Previews Editor
"One of the most interesting things about this year was a pronounced improvement in the overall quality of what was shown."
Sam Parker/PC Editor
"No matter what may have come before it, Rise of Nations does plenty that's new, and it's a great game. More than that, it's fast becoming one of my absolute favorite games."
Ryan Davis/Associate Producer
"Many have complained about how disappointing this year's E3 was, but I couldn't disagree more."
Giancarlo Varanini/Senior Associate Editor
"Remember how laughable it would have been to think that the creator of the Final Fantasy series and the creator of the Dragon Warrior series would join forces and form an entirely new company?"
Craig Beers/PC Video Editor
"There were cop cars everywhere, blocking street access around a whole city block near this one high-rise, and there was a helicopter with a searchlight circling overhead."
Tim Tracy/Associate Producer, GameSpot Live
"I should mention that I'm by no means a technical wizard. I'm just an average guy with an aversion to cables running all over my apartment."
Happy Gamer/GameSpotter
