Readers' Choice Awards

Each year, in the aftermath of GameSpot's Best and Worst feature, we extend the opportunity to all of our registered users to participate in our annual Readers' Choice Awards. We consistently find that our readers' tastes are as discriminating and refined as our own when it comes to games. And so, once the dust settles on our own awards, we invite you to carefully consider and vote for your favorite games in the same categories that we use.

In the following pages, the categories are split up by platform and genre because--unlike with our main awards--we didn't allow cross-platform games to compete against one another directly, due to the inherently greater popularity of certain platforms. The nominee lists for all awards consisted of games that earned a review score of at least a 7.0 on GameSpot this year, which represents quite a generous sampling of the year's best. After almost a month's time, we've finally tallied your votes, and now we're pleased to present your choices for the best and worst of gaming in 2003.

We invite you to look over each award category sequentially, or you can use the right-hand navigation menu to skip to those categories that interest you most. Also, please feel free to e-mail us any comments or questions you may have regarding this feature. And now, on with the show.
