 Best Fighting Game on PlayStation 2, Nominees We love fighting games here at GameSpot, and we count games like Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat II, Samurai Shodown, and Soul Calibur as some of our all-time favorites. While it's definitely the case that the genre has seen better days, each year at least a couple of great new fighting games emerge. The PlayStation 2 was the only platform that saw a competitive array of these games this year, and from them, we present the following as our nominees for Best Fighting Game on PlayStation 2:
