Microsoft: Xbox One launch lineup the best in console history
Corporate vice president Phil Harrison talks up company's 23-title launch lineup, says "it's the games that make Xbox One stand out."
The Xbox One's launch lineup of 23 titles is the strongest in the history of console releases, Microsoft corporate vice president Phil Harrison told CVG in a new interview.
"Ultimately it's the games that make Xbox One stand out, and we have the best lineup of games--we think--in the history of consoles," Harrison said.
Launch titles for the Xbox One include big-budget and high-profile games like Call of Duty: Ghosts and Battlefield 4, as well as free-to-play fighting game Killer Instinct and various sports titles like Madden NFL 25, NBA Live 14, and FIFA 14.
In Europe, FIFA 14 will be included as a free pack-in game for all Xbox One preorders.
"We clearly have strong exclusive games, and we have partnered with EA to bring FIFA to Europe in a very meaningful way. Football in Europe is the sport, and in some countries it's the religion," Harrison said.
Xbox One exclusives coming to the platform at launch include Dead Rising 3, Fighter Within, Ryse: Son of Rome, and Forza Motorsport 5, among others.
The Xbox One launches in November for $500.
