Konami of Europe announced today that it is readying International Superstar Soccer 2 for a release on the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. ISS2 is the latest project from Konami CE Osaka, creator of previous games in the series. ISS2 offers more than 50 international teams and multiple game modes. Thanks to the FIFPro license, it also features real player names.

"ISS was the first football game from Konami of Europe to be recognized by gamers for its superb playability," said Wolfgang Ebert, European PR manager for KOE. "ISS is a great complement to the ultrarealistic Pro Evolution Soccer series. Its arcade-style action is a must for serious football gamers and their pick-up-and-play counterparts alike."

ISS2 is set for a release in Europe in April on the PS2, with the Xbox and GameCube versions to follow. Konami of America has not given any word regarding a North American release.
