Zelda on gold disc
The North American version of The Wind Waker continues the tradition set by previous games in the series.
GameSpot has just received the final North American retail version of The Legend of Zelda and we were pleased to see that the disc for the game is in fact gold-colored. Nintendo started the tradition of releasing gold cartridges with The Legend of Zelda and continued with subsequent console games in the series, including Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. The Game Boy Legend of Zelda games and A Link to the Past were the only games in the series not to receive similar treatment.
