TDK Mediactive has announced that it plans to support the Nintendo GameCube with software releases and currently has four games for the console in its publishing roster. The company will release Shrek, Robotech, Dinotopia, and a fourth unannounced game for the GameCube console. Digital Illusions will develop Shrek, which was released for the launch of the Xbox console, and the Robotech game is being developed by Vicious Cycle Software. Prolific Publishing will develop Dinotopia.

"Since the launch on November 18, the GameCube has become one of America's fastest-selling new video game hardware systems," said Vincent Bitetti, chief executive officer of TDK Mediactive. "We currently have four titles in development with more planned, and anticipate a strong installed base of machines and increased demand by holiday 2002."

TDK's first GameCube game will be released in Q4 2002. TDK will bring licensed Robotech and Dinotopia games to other platforms, including the Game Boy Advance.
