Rage delves into GameCube development

The UK-based firm will develop games for Nintendo's console.

UK-based Rage Software has announced that it has reached an agreement with Nintendo to release games for the GameCube console. The company's first product under the agreement is a version of David Beckham Soccer, which will be released around the time of the 2002 World Cup. The game will also be released for the Sony PlayStation 2 and the Microsoft Xbox. With this agreement, Rage is now poised to bring a variety of its games to all three major consoles.

"We're delighted to have secured this agreement with Nintendo, as it gives Rage the opportunity to work with all three players in the console market," said Paul Finnegan, managing director of Rage Software.

Among the company's unique franchises are games such as GTC Africa, Gunmetal, Denki Blocks, Crash, and licensed products such as the upcoming Rocky games.
