From the first time I played this game I fell in love with it, and eight years later, that love hasn’t faded. It’d be unfair to call Game Boy Camera a digital camera mock-up. This is truly a game. Taking pictures is merely a means to an end, the end being unlocking every secret the game holds.

Aside from your personal photo album, Game Boy Camera hosts a second album chock-full of random pictures that are actually funny and fun to unlock. Also, the game sports a group of unlockable mini-games that include Game & Watch classic Ball, only with the added feature of pasting your mug with four different expressions on Mr. Game & Watch’s head.

The thing about Game Boy Camera is that it is filled with very Japanese “random humor” which might turn off most gamers. However, those of us who do like Japanese random humor can’t help but laugh at the insane nonsense that Game Boy Camera provides.

Perhaps too Japanese for America, Game Boy Camera is a great, weird, quirky, really fun game that’s sure to please some of the most eccentric gamers out there.
