Full Spectrum Warrior is a realistic squad based strategy game set in a third person view. The name of the game is finding cover and using your squads to flank the enemy and kill them.

You start off FSW in boot camp. You learn the controls of the game and then have a final test mission, when you pass you ship out and start the campaign which takes place in a fictional middle eastern city. The story of the game is told through cut scenes which are done well. You command two fire squads, you basically play as the team leader but you can control the other characters if you want to. You have to use cover and then use your other squad to flank the enemy and take them out. You will do this over and over during the game which can get a little old after a while. The level layouts are very linear, when you look at your map it's very easy to see how to flank you enemy. There is usually a alley or something that you have to go down and puts you in perfect firing position for killing the enemy. But sometimes it gets a little tricky and you will have a little trial and error gameplay. You also don't get to do any shooting yourself, you tell you soldiers where to shoot and they do. It would be cool if you could do some shooting yourself but your soliders are good shots.

The graphics are good, your squad and the enemys are all detailed and animate well. The levels are detailed but it does start to look all the same. The sound is also very good, the voice overs of your soliders sound very good, as do the weapons and other effects. The background music also sounds good and has a middle eastern theme.

If you really like military themed games like myself you will probably like it. If your more into fps games it might be a little slow for you. If your not sure I would just rent it.
