Very promising.

User Rating: 7 | Full Mojo Rampage (Early Access) PC

As the title says, Full Mojo Rampage is a very promising rogue-like with RPG elements.

At first glance it looks a lot like Torchlight, but that's just the aesthetics, the gameplay itself is very different. There is some character development but not as deep as most RPGs, but this isn't an RPG so...

Full Mojo Rampage is a good looking game, the soundtrack is appropriate and not annoying. The only thing I'd like to see them add is some more graphic options, perhaps a gamma slider because the game looks foggy, like there's a grey overlay. I've been able to use SweetFX to get rid of this effect but I'd obviously rather be able to achieve same without using 3rd party tools.

As of now I can't point out any bugs except for maybe some balancing issues. Every update brings some more new content and by final release this will be a full-fledged game, already is really. (the early versions only had a single quest, the current has three or four along with harder difficulties becoming available after the first completion.)

This game feels almost perfect to be a twin-stick shooter similar to Renegade Ops but for some reason there is no controller support at all. My suspicion is that they have controller support working perfectly and are holding it back until release... as a sort of additional incentive. I did try to create a mapping for xbox controller using XPadder but the way the controls are at the moment it doesn't work nearly as well as it could with official support.

I do feel that I need to point out that Full Mojo, being a sort of rogue-like, has permadeath. If your character dies halfway through a quest you will have to start the quest over. All the found goodies are lost, but the modifications available at the beginning stay, and your xp is awarded before beginning a new game, not during the game.

The later versions made the game quite a bit easier, so I don't think that many would find the default difficulty to be of any trouble outside those few times where you get swamped. But some characters deal with certain situations better, plus there are quite a few items to be found that will help you out on your quest.
