wtf this guy is just PATHETIC he sucks with that sword and that gun wasn't much help now his aim may have been excusable considering it's a work in progress but dang that was sad.

this gameplay was almost a year ago, now that they worked on it, it looks pretty epic! just watch the trailer, and wait for the demo which they will probably have on E3

Is very sad to look the FM turn to action and i miss the previous front mission and i love the front mission part 4 on PS 2.......

square enix games right now are awfull, i've been a fan of ff series but not 12 & 13, bring back the old school rpg by "squaresoft". anyways regarding this game, he's shooting blank ang punching like wild, even a one eyed boxer can win a fight with that machine :-)

This is just sad. Who ever made the decision to turn a stellar turn-based strategy game into this pethatic pile of dated gaming deserved to be fired. Like others have mentioned, why don't you spend time to bring FM5 over instead! Idoits!

WTF SE? This is old generation Armored Core game. You're ten years light late from newest AC. Front Mission Evolved to AC in ps1. Your westernization effort = lose originality. Localize FM 5 instead of this, oh wait fans already localized it for ya. RIP Front Mission series.

This stinks. The thing that made the series was the actual strategy it took to win the stages. Give me my turn-based combat back. On another note, are the controls that clunky as they looked during the game play or was the guy playing just horrible? The aiming reticule was all over the place and he kept jumping for no reason. So far i'm not really impressed at all and sadly disappointed. You used to make such great games Square. Get your head back in the game.

This isn't strategy or turn-based.. this isn't traditional 'Front Mission' at all...

This does look just like AC. Really disappointing. I was hoping for some strategy.

@Razgard Slow compared to new generation AC maybe, but old generation AC was pretty much this speed exactly.

yea this doesnt look impressive by any means, it seems like its copying Armored Core, but not very well. It seems rather slow paced compared to AC.

Wow, does anyone think this was a good move? I mean, I was excited because I remember having lots of fun with Front Mission 4....but this is pretty much Armored Core. How disappointing!

haha, this is definitely an armored core. you can tell by the dashing and slashing method. it's like everyone who knows front mission knows armored core too.

making it action game instead of rpg is the stupid thing they could done. why change great game into something it's not. it takes like fives sec to kill wanzer now where is the Strategy in that? sound like to me they tried to make it more appeal for little kids. the game is let down to front mission fans. it just another run gun game only difference is your in wanzer. epic fail

I will give it a rent though but I think square is starting to turn into the the nextEA -_- more stuff = less quality? I hope not though.

I agree the strategy of Front Mission 4 was the best.

Another title that SquareEnix turns into sh$t... Where is the fun of the strategy? Where are the epic battles in the battlefield using lots of wanzers? They will slowly lose popularity if they keep making bad games like this one -_-

What?! Where's the strategy? I hope they didn't turn this into an Armored Core. Don't get me wrong, I like highjacking and custom making robots in FM3, but doing away with the strategy entirely just feels wrong here.

kinda like something what happen to Fallout! dudes wheres the strategy in the previous games we love this seems to be like a shooting hack slash! i hope its not that bad

So now this looks like a bad version of Armored Core... I'm a little disappointed with Square Enix on this one and I can see myself NOT buying this.

Good graphics but disappointed that it's not my favorite turn-based strategy Front Mission game anymore. It's... a slow and boring mech game with clunky controls...

i don't think the game is supposed to be boring like that, its just the guy that's playing it.

looks pretty good..but the gameplay looks quite boring, Im too used to boosting all over the place and dodging missiles( you know, general fast paced combat). But in this game all it looks like you're doing is just standing around and shooting

i still remember that guy trying to save his sister. Alice was it? and Emma. well. it was better. Front Mission 3. looks like this is a far cry from what i was looking forward to when i heard the title.

Front Mission 3, I remember times such a good strategy game. Loved it when you select the rocket launcher attack, you speed backwards and then fire!!! Would of been more better to just keep it as a strategy game, would be great to see that on the PS3.

this looks like a tuned up armoured core game in pc with typical good looks and bad handling

it kind of reminds me of a slow virtual on. the shooting looks horrible btw, aiming slowly like that...and this has no tactical element at all, what a departure from FM games

thats a joke right? dude, don't we have enough lame mech action games? Front Missions was the go-to title/series for quality Mech based RTS gaming. I bet they were trying to 'appeal to a larger audience' with this move. They probably will too. Mostly people who have never heard of the series or clueless folks that buy games because of the box art (probably an old term). Maybe it's just a spin-off, maybe they'll still make Front Missions RTS.

the only Front mission I played was 4 but i loved it to death now that i see this im truely sad i wanted another FRONT MISSION not a AC clone dont get me wrong i love AC but its not what Front Mission's supposed to be about thank you for reading my opinion

was really looking forward to a new front mission game (we haven't had one in the uk since FM3) so i was hoping this would be good. I was sooooo wrong! What the hell have square done?!? looks like outsourcing it to a foreign developer has just made it a Armoured Core clone (and they've gotten worse since AC2). It might not have been so bad if it was like Rainbow Six: Raven Shield with some squad tactics, but that doesn't even seem like an option here. Note to self, don't trust Square as a publisher.
