Front Mission Evolved New World Trailer (Xbox 360)

Funny, from patterns i have seen here those who played it at E3 love it while other Front Mission fans act like complete douche bags and say they hope the series dies just because of this spin off, that's right this is a spin off if you didn't know that, also there is already a third person shooter Front Mission called Front Mission Online and it is successful so Front Mission can be a third person shooter. And are you even a fan, because last time i heard a fan of a game didnt say that the entire series should die and he/she will never play it again because of a spin off. Come on trolls since when did FM let you down? All games from the FM series were successful. Even spin offs such as Gun Hazard, Front Mission Online, Alternative, and this! Now give this a chance, its still not finished anyway the developers even gave themselves extra time to work on this.

Wow, very disappointed. Where is the awesome PS3 level strategy RPG I was expecting? The game might still be great, but SE you've just let down many people by putting the Front Mission label on it.

What the...! Doesn't look like theres any RPG elements. Not looking forward to this at all, was really excited when I heard it was announced. Armored core clone for sure.

For me, they failed with their FF13, and this one highly potential will fail also, since Mechwarrior is coming.

Looks like a copy of Armored Core, just not as fast paced. As long as the shooting and what not of the game is good and balanced, it could easily be a fun game. Multiplayer would make this game even more fun, and they could adopt the same qualties of other shooters(cough, Modern Warfare), like leveling and perks and what not. Basically turning into the new Transformers game thats coming out.

It reminds me of a lower grade Armored Core...But, you can exit the Wanzer at any point (or so it seems)...So its like Mech Assault 2.. On a side note I always wished that Armored core had humans in it.. Anyway, Front mission seems to have cast aside the amazing nail biting tactics of its predecessors for high speed shooter action. A (if you will) Illegitimate child of Mech Assault and Armored core..Hmm..Sorry I think I'll just pull my chips out of this one. I loved the front mission series but this is more or less Armored core bright and shiny addition

@Guyver81 You are right, its all been screwed, SE screwed the FF franchise and now is doing it with FM making it a third-person-shooter. No strategy, no intelligence needed, no rough, extensive challenging battles, just shoot...

Why do i feel this game gonna fail? We have tons of other Mech game out there! ... Here i am... imagining it to be an RPG Tactical Strategic game.. with all the processing power and Graphic of a PC. But its not! -_-' I played Front Mission 1 to 4 and its all RPG Tactical Strategic type.. Not a Third Person Shooter -_-'. I love Front Mission because its "Front Mission" not some Action simulation MechWarrior type game =(. No offence i like MechWarrior and i also like Armored Core. I just strongly Believe This game should retain its original play style For Example... What if SE make a Football "Evolve" game... Suddenly become something else from what it suppose to be (Shooting Game maybe)... will it it still call football?

@monchoago Yes You are mistaken but in different way You think and at the same time You are right heh, Square Enix did it again. They are making again a Front Mission game that is a TPP shooter heh and they are making for the fourth time FM game that is not turn based so don't worry, wait and see how FME will end up.

It looks like SE did it again, and screwed other super franchise, because as it seems, Front Mission Evolved is not an strategic combat game, its just a third person shooter. I really hope not, and Im mistaken, and it still will be an strategic system as in other Front Mission games...

Yes! I have been waiting for a mecha game for the PC for a long time! Though the release dates by GameSpot for this game will have to be updated. :P

Finally a decent PC Mech game.

Transformers meets Mech Warrior in this (another) japanesse rip-off game. Even if it hypes the sh*t outta players and fanboys (as do all square enix trailers do) and those that watch it I bet it will ultimately be a disappointment... simply because there is nothing original in it. MW4 is way better (and authentic) than this even if its like 8 years old.. and transformers.. well that is not a very good game to start with, but it is very popular (thanks to Megan FOXxX). And even if it MechAssault and not MechWarrior, who cares.. still a rip-off. I would make a law against this sort of things.

@cold_whisper13 -- That didn't look anything like MechWarrior. I think the game you're thinking of is MechAssault. What it DOES look like is Armored Core -- to the point of looking like they completely copied it. Hardly what I'd call an "evolution". I'm a huge fan of the Armored Core series, but I don't need another mech franchise trying to do the exact same thing. They could have been more original in the implementation, and really capitalized on the FM brand. Something that blended the strategy-RPG elements of the classic FM games with third-person action would have made this project more intriguing to me. I may still pick it up, since I'm sure it'll be entertaining, it just... reeks of wasted potential.

Legolas_Katarn nothing is changing, this is already second FM game that is a TPP shooter, first one was called FMOnline. Front Mission is not only about turn based FM1-5 (and FM 2089 Borders of Madness), how many times it has to be said eh, there is mentioned FMO, FM Alternative and FM Gun Hazard, many of those games never saw release outside Japan.

As much as I hate them changing Front Mission's gameplay style, probably for the worse. It would be nice to get a new good mech game.

I love how they made the meches move on wheels so its not just slow movement.

This is the mech game that a lot have been waiting for.

There hasn't been a good mech game in years and years. This or Mechwarrior has to be good.
