From Russia With Love is the latest installment in the James Bond series of video games. But does it live up to its name?

Gameplay

From Russia With Love has improved over its predecessors quite a bit. There is much more detail, and lots of pieces of the environment is interactive. New features included being able to shoot out radios to prevent soldiers from calling for back-up, and enemy helmets, which will deflect headshots from most weapons. You are now able to upgrade your weapons and gadgets with something called schematics points. To get these points, you must find certain hidden objects in each level. while upgrading your weapons and gadgets is not necessary, it does help you later in the game. In addition to these new features, you can now choose the ammo for your guns and clothing for your character.

Sound

The sound is a major improvement over the last few games. The music fits the mood, and the sound effects sound much more realistic this time. Explosions are wonderful, and you will even hear the tiny bits on ruble when it hits the ground. Visuals

The graphics in this game are excellent. If you compare a picture of the movies' characters and the games' characters, you will see an incredible resemblance. Cars shine and guns glisten from time to time.

MultiPlayer

From Russia With Love seems to have corrected the mistake that Everything or Nothing created. Multiplayer is now split screen, getting rid of that horrid single screen. There are new characters and weapons. FRWL introduces vehicles into the mutliplayer mix. In some of the larger maps, these vehicles may prove useful.

Replayability

This is the reason with this game didn't get a full score. The story itself is not very long, and will only take about a day or two to complete. while there are tons of secrets and documents to find, there is simply not enough to keep to play more after the second or third time. The medals make replaying challenging levels more appealing, but its not really worth the time. Finally, with such a great multiplayer, I feel that they should have included online play.

Conclusion

If you are a die-hard James Bond fan, then this is a must have. If you are a causal gamer, then this is still worth a try, though you should rent it first to see if you like it.
