Gameplay: You have to move 5 frogs on to their lily-pads located at the top of the screen. It sounds easy and almost seems so in the beginning.
However to get your frog to the safety of the lily-pad you have to first get past five lanes of traffic. Then you have to work on your timing and cross five different lanes across a river. Sounds easy.
Now add the fact you are racing against time. Still sounds easy.
You have other animals that want to eat you and each time you successfully get five frogs home. The traffic patterns change and you now have to deal with some lanes going slow, while others are going fast. Not so easy now.
Graphics: Standard graphics for the Atari.
Sound: Just beeps, bloops, and bleeps that even if they were not there you could still do really well on this game. Other then the strange sound used to warn you a snake was after you this game could be played in silence.
Value: Frogger was an arcade game so owning it on your Atari gave you way to develop your skills. It was also a two player game so for many this was a good selling point. The fact that you could play this game non-stop added quite a bit to it's replay value.
Tilt: Frogger joined the likes of Pacman and Donkey Kong. Besides being in the arcade and on your home entertainment system. There were many handheld versions of the game made. So you could play Frogger quite literally anywhere you wanted to. Frogger however never really caught on and is now just a classic that 80's Arcade players will be nostalgic about.

I never realized how hard the life of a frog was. Now only if they had made "Squirreler"!
