FreeStyle, 'Free' for a reason

User Rating: 1 | FreeStyle Street Basketball PC
Currently this game has been taken over by Gamekiss, otherwise it's the exact same product, minus having to pay for the game after reaching level 16. In fact, now this game is free.

When you think of the best 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 games your memory floods with titles such as; NBA Jam, NBA Hangtime, and some of the newer generation gamers may have grown up with NBA Street as a fond memory of simple yet satisfying basketball games.

Sad to say, what has the most potential is actually one of the weaker street basketball games ever designed. Sure, these are real gamers you're teaming up with or facing, but with all the issues of bugs and poor connections, you will be headed to the showers before unlocking all the great moves.

Some of the classics had gamers shatter backboards and the nets became masochists for fire, but FreeStyle brings the elements of broken crossovers and suppressed memories of dial up gaming.

The positives is that you can customize your wardrobe, some of the items include power ups as well. You can be a sharpshooter from beyond the arch or a power dunker in the paint. The only problem is the game is too unplayable due to the flood of players from other continents, but on the bright side you can look stylish before uninstalling the game.

To be fair, this game actually is playable if you get all your local buddies to join the same game. While you're not pushing and sucker punching your opponents, when the game is working properly it can be enjoyable.

They have a few good skills in the game that are fun to watch, but it seems like the developers were far too focused on charging it's members to buy clothing or special characters instead of fixing the problems or adding new features that could make this game feel much more rewarding to play.

They also need to add a warning label on this game because the majority of the active users tend to bypass the chat filter and let off all sorts of F-bombs and N words.

With this game originally having servers in the Philippines, you can't help but feel the impression that gamers from there think we stole it from them and they want vengeance.

The jokes on them because this game is bad, and I mean Power Glove bad. It's just a matter of time till a console releases a better street ball game and FreeStyle will finally go away for good.

Keep gaming lovelies!
