I remember when Gran Tourismo was the king of racers. I'm talking back during the PS1 era of course, because once Microsoft released it's XBox console, the game changed. While not a commercial success, the console spawned a bunch of amazing new franchises. One of those franchises is none other than Turn10's Forza series.
With the newest release of Forza 5, Turn 10 has given the same great controls, with the amazingly detailed tracks we've all come to expect. To be honest with you, it's hard for me to give this game only an 8, because it plays amazingly well and the Drivatar system adds so much depth to the races. The issue is the feeling of the game being rushed. Basically there are less cars and tracks than Forza 4. There are no day/night cycles which are expected in todays games. With that said, the sound and visuals are great for a launch game. I can't think of a better looking racer that excels the way Forza 5 does. Once again Turn 10 shows me why they are the king of racers.
