Some realism in video games is fine, but not to the point where the realism drains from the fun.

If Forza Motorsport is the Xbox's answer for Gran Turismo 4 then why is it not as good? First off, if you thought it was hard to steer in Gran Turismo 4 then try Forza's handling. The game feels like your steering your car on fricking ice. Also, the car selection is not as good however, it doeshave Ferrari's and some other cars GT4 did not have yet does not nearly have as much cars as GT4.

I'll start with the bad for graphics. The audience once again looks like paper dolls. It doesn't look realistic at all, in fact it's on the verge of terrible. I know it's like that in many racing games but it's even worse in Forza Motorsport. That being said, the tracks are replica's of real world tracks and they are designed to perfection. The cars look smooth and the framerate is equally well done.

The sound in Forza Motorsport has its goods and bads. The soundtrack sucks. You can't choose what song you listen to and nearly every song sucks on the game. Fortunately you can use the Custom Soundtrack's feature and listen to your own music when racing. The racing sounds very realistic and clear.

There is quite a bit to do in Forza Motorsport but that is if you are willing to put that time into playing the game. It just doesn't seem as polished as Gran Turismo 4 and seems way too realistic and the steering just kills the game. There are little arrows 'helping' you on which is the best way to go through the track but the hardly work at all.

Overall, Forza Motorsport could've been a pretty decent game but the horrible steering as if your driving on ice with a car with already bad steering just kills the game almost. Only if you're a serious car fan or looking for a realistic game. But I warn you for the steering. Spend your twenty buck on Gran Turismo 4 instead.
