Looks decent, not worth purchasing a 360 decent that's for damn sure but if they were to bring it to PC and treat it well I'd most likely pick a copy up.
funny how they talk so highly of the game when in reality all you do is be stuck in a car and drive, drive and drive. why can't you come out of the car and walk around? why can't you create your own character? most importantly why is this on the xbox only when the xbox is a limping console to begin with.
@ChocolateAddict It's a driving game... why would you need to get out and walk around or spend time with character development? You can "get out" and take pictures, that's good enough for me. Racing games have tried to add characters and stories before - and it sucked ass. I would rather have them put ALL of their focus into the cars and the driving, rather than some stupid "get out and walk around" mechanic. If you want to create characters and walk around, play RPG's maybe?
It's a Microsoft Studios game, so no shit it's going to be only XBOX. Sony has Gran Turismo, is that not a good enough racing game for you? Maybe you're playing the wrong console. If the XBOX is "limping," the PS3 is quadriplegic. I own both of them and a gaming PC, so I speak from experience. I have the PS3 for exclusives, but the pecking order is PC=>XBOX360=>PS3. It's nice not being a fanboy. I don't have to worry about which console games are released on, I just play good games when they come out.
theres noting new here forza sucks test drive had a open world years ago and u could just meet peopole in the world from around the world . forza does not its sounds gd but u will find no online players in thhis open world boring forza is all looks no substance
@Hydrophone Aparently it'll control pretty much the same as Forza 4 only slightly sharpended up a little to enable quicker turns through traffic and such. It'll also include all the assists and sim options you are used to in Forza's.
I come into this with a lot of confidence in what the Forza team does. Their attention to detail and unwillingness to settle has really made me look at this game. I'm a little concerned on how quickly its coming out in relation to Forza 4. Hopefully they don't become a COD franchise where they throw out a new game each year with no REAL new content.
I REALLY hope they have tested the hell out of this game and haven't said "good enough"
@cody20 they are heading towards yearly release, but keeping a 2 year cycle between a Forza MOTORSPORT and a FORZA HORIZON, so sort of branching out into 2 sub franchises. if you like a more arcadey feel to it, you have a new game every 2 years, and same for if you like the sim. if you like both, then well......prepare the wallet!
I'm glad someone is picking up the reigns now that TDU has withered away under the hopeless stewardship of Atari.
Seriously looks like they're going to screw up the Multiplayer though...but we'll see, hopefully not. Day one buy either way, time to break out the old 360 wheel and stand.
@zakkaz666 In the Forza series it's definitely new and something people never expected to happen. We're getting an open world racing/simulator. Not crappy unrealistic physics like a Need for Speed game.
@huerito323@zakkaz666 I'm sure the game is gonna be great and the features will be well-implemented.
But when you announce something so familiar as groundbreaking you have to explain why. What sets their traffic and their day/night cicle apart? Judging from that video I have no idea.
@zakkaz666The day/night cycle talk was even worse "it just adds this whole new layer"...cause we've never seen it before. But I'm just glad it's in there.
That said...dirt, asphalt (65 variants of terrain? oh yes please), day, night, licensed cars, Forza detail, open world, dynamic weather, not total arcade BS...this could be shaping up to be my dream racer.
I hope it does have a minor police system and actual race tracks to be found in the open world...but the one thing that actually has me worried is the multiplayer - I wish it were persistent and integrated into the single player like TDU done right for once.
Can you crash, seriously crash and can you customize some or all cars to big levels like with Need for Speed Underground or Most Wanted etc?
I want to know because this looks good but if you can't do those things I don't wanna know being honest.
I'll guess alot of serious Forza players will try and tell me to stick to Need for Speed or something but is that what Turn 10 want? me and other fans from different genres and styles not to give this a second look because of it? I doubt it.
They'll want to bring me in by letting me do what I want... hopefully anyway.
My boy B! What up, Mr. Ekberg? I love that you landed that gig. So perfect for you, and I really appreciate what you have to say about racing games, Forza in particular.
