This is definitely going to be the racing game of the year.

As the game starts up your hear this very joyous and celebratory type of music which gets you very interested and then when you watch the intro you get hooked, but you have that little bit of doubt that the intro is not going to match the level of detail in the game you are about to engage in, but you are wrong. The game starts off exceptionally well and you are taken through a well-documented story line that helps you understand what you are getting yourself into and what's in store for you and I must say it's absolutely awesome. This is the best thing that Forza could have done to their game. Some of the features are absolutely absorbing like the ability to roam freely everywhere and the roaming everywhere earns you points as well. The landscapes in the game are beautiful and immerse you in them making it seem like you are actually driving there, the transition between day and night is also seamless. The handling of the cars is very realistic and the car level detail is great and what we have come to expect from previous Forza games, the vehicle list however is smaller than what we have become accustomed to but there is enough of your favourites to keep you very happy. The cut scenes while you chat to other racers and event organisers are also very good and the banter is very authentic and does not feel out of place at. There are also the usual car customizations which are not mind-blowing but are good enough in its own right. I have only played around 3 hours of gameplay but I am literally hooked to the game. The only drawback of the game is that it still has a simulation feel to it, but that soon fades once you pull up next to another racer on the road and challenge them to a sprint race. Forza Horizon has taken its well renowned pedigree of simulation and mixed it with free driving and arcade style racing. What more could you ask for? I'm positive that the next title of Forza will build on this and have us craving for more.
