Realized this isn't the Forza 4 board. I don't actually own an R1 car in this game, so I'm no help.

I could be wrong, but I don't think there's anything above an R3 in Horizon. At least, I haven't seen any. I'm only at the gold races though.

A lot of cars get to R1 with some upgrading. Of course the Veyron for speed, the FXX is good, and the Zonda R is great if speed isn't as big an issue. I prefer it just because, well, Zonda. 'Nuff said.

Now if you want to have some good fun, upgrade an Ultima GTR to R1. I used one of these against Darius in the last two races of the game. It's...lively

I prefer the Zonda R and the Zonda C if you have the recaro dlc.

    Veyron for speed

It's way better than the Zonda on a lot of tracks. Zonda is good on the tight tracks though.

the veyron is faster but its also handles like a brick S***house. the zonda cinque is that much more drivable and thats the difference in a race lobby.

This is bull, you can slam into walls and still destroy the Zonda on a lot of tracks.

I agree it doesn't handle nearly as well, but it's so much faster it just doesn't matter.

haha you've never been in an R1 race lobby have you?

the veyrons all try and bounce off walls and get caught on trees, rocks etc. if you need to bounce of walls to get the car round a turn then it cannot be considered a good car at all. zondas are better period.

This is why I usually finished on the podium in public R1 lobbies. People would hit every wall and couldn't catch someone who could actually drive.

I'm not saying I'm great or anything. I've raced enough people on this board so they know how good I am. But I am saying that 90% of Horizon's online players don't know what the hell they are doing, and that is why I stopped playing online.

That's why I race B-class Minis and stock Rabbits. As long as I don't hit a rock or miss a turn, I'll have most people beat.

I got some bucks together and built a top spec Zonda. I think that car is indeed where it's at, because it's got enough downforce for everybody.

Personally I am fond of the Venom GT, but I also really like the Lamborghini Superleggara. It's only an A or S ranked car, but fully upgraded it has 10's in all categories. Of course that only means so much, but it does handle fairly well if you can keep it smooth, since the car can fishtail quite easily.

Edit: The Lamborghini Aventador also works the same way, but might have better handling.

I have no problem whatsoever with the Aventador. You have to drive quite badly to get it out of line. You know, like granny shifting when you should be double clutching.
