Are the barn finds actually barns that you have to find?

Barn finds are unlocked through normal career progression. Alice Hart will call you each time a new barn find becomes available. At that point, you can then proceed to the highlighted area on your map to look for it. DJs will start talking about that specific barn find as well.

You cannot unlock them before the radio call.
