Ever heard of the phrase drop a gear and disappear, well if you have then you know what it means, and that’s exactly what turn 10 studios, playground games and Microsoft studios has done to the competition in terms of open world racing games with FH4, I’ve always loved the horizon and Motorsport games, even though I was a little disappointed with FH3, there is no disappointment here in FH4, this is an amazing display of game development. FH4 stars off slow with introducing you too the game and how it works and making you work before they turn you loose into the beautiful British landscape. And when they take off those chains and turn you loose, you are overwhelmed with the opportunities and things there is too do. First off let me talked about the car list and the extensive amount of cars there are it’s amazing and the variety is there, of course though everyone’s preference is different so not everyone is going to it’s perfect, but I think it’s close. Now horizon has always been a roller coaster of music choices, FH1 had an amazing soundtrack, FH2 was good but really only 2 stations were good, and FH3 was pretty disappointing, But FH4 has an amazing soundtrack, so much variety and I actually want to add some of these to my Spotify playlist, there is something for everyone here in terms of music. The gameplay has never been better the cars feel real and methodical it’s simply amazing, the roads are challenging especially in winter. The races are challenging and the A.I are actually a strong suit here. The graphics are beautiful and the landscape is so amazing and so much variety, the way the seasons differ is insane. The online play is great and joining and leaving of multiplayer has never felt better and been easy. There’s so many positives here that I could be here all day, but lets talk about why the game isn’t perfect, it’s close though. There are some weird sound glitches that made me restart my game, the trains that go around the map can glitch every once in a while. There are some weird pop in and out issues where trees and traffic and other objects that come out of nowhere. There are probably some negatives that I missed but at the end of the FH4 is probably the most impressive horizon yet 9/10.
