My Xbox 360 Disc Drive is shot. All Games and DVD's are unreadable. It is an old Xbox 360 Pro (BenQ drive) and I already tried tweaking the laser pot in an attempt to fix it, as well as the usual fix's (cleaned). Did not work.

I have been looking at replacement Disc drives but they are expensive (45$ + CAN with shipping) and I am not 100% sure just replacing the laser would fix it (could be combo of worm drive, Dc motor, laser)

My question... is there anyway to play games still? Possible using computer to transfer game to USB then copy to a hard drive... or any other way of getting my games to the hard drive. (bypass the disc reading)

As long as the actual console boots up and works you can download the games digitally, and play them that way.

@BattleSpectre:

True,

But what about for the many Games I already own (on discs). Is there anyway to still use those too?

(thanks for input :) )

There is, but it involves money haha, get the disc drive fixed.
