My brand new Xbox 360 Elite has messed up twice already. I was playing Marvel today and it was running slow and my 360 just locked up. After that I cut it off and turned my system back on and I just got a black screen. After a few minuted a single red ring popped up at the bottom right of the ring circle.

I then took out my hard drive to see if it would work without it and it did. Then I put the hard drive back in and it everything works fine now.

So what did that red ring mean? And do you know what when wrong? I really hope my 360 isn't dying because I haven't even had it a week!

I checked all that and my AV cord and power cord were all plugged in. It wasn't until I took out my Hard Drive that it worked. But I've put my Hard Drive back on and it works fine now. Maybe my drive was loose or something.

Oh, and while it was just sitting there with a black screen my Controller wouldn't connect to the system either.
