i do not have any form of internet connection for my xbox360. Well i was wondering if you needed some form of a download or update from live to play the old xbox games like halo2 etc. or if you can play the game as is without ever having your 360 connected to live? TIA.

Do you have a friend with internet and a CD burner? You can download the latest BC update and burn it to a CD that will load on the 360.  The update can be found on http://www.xbox.com

You also need the hard drive for the 360 to play Xbox 1 games. Just in case you didn't know that.
