I don't know which way to go on this one. Is there any reason why i shouldn't buy a used one.

Get a used and with the money you saved buy a warranty from where ever u bought it so u dont have to deal with shipping it to microsoft.

Get one that has a HDMI port (has the Zeipher motherboard will give you less problems) And you dont need to buy the elite for HDMI you can buy the premium one as well

I will explain this to you in analogies since it seems that people will understand from an analogical point of view. You have the 100,000$ and you want to buy a car, one is 80,000$ and one is 50,000$ and used. The one that is used has teared up seats, no seatbelts, no airbags, The carborator is malfunctioning and the Car has finger prints on it. You would be saving money on the car, but you have to fix it up, which will cost a lot if you since you have to buy all of the equipment necessary to fix it up. By that time you'll be spending more money on the used car than the one that was brand new. With the new one it'll come with all the necessities. Does that make sense. Buy a new XBox 360.

I agree. The xbox 360 is the only console I have seen that Gamestop and others seem to strip down once they arrive in the store.

Like if you sell them your premium xbox 360, with hdd and wireless controller, they give you one VERY small price. Then they will strip the system down, sell the system with a wired controller for 189. The wireless controller for 39, then the hdd for 80. This total together equals 308 before tax........a brand new prem. is 350........this doesnt make sense.

just buy a new one, if you go premium make sure it has hdmi, that way you know it has upgraded heat sinks and fans. 3 yr warranty, and maybe get the Halo edition just because it's unique and has some extra stuff. I would never take a chance on a used especially with the rrod exchange rate.

Definetly don't buy a used one, infact i'd wait a couple months until microsoft can fix their consoles problems.
