Probably the multiplayer mode of some gaming where you unlock weapons by leveling up your rank. Most like cabdidate is either Halo or Modern Warfare 3, Gears Of War's weapons arent character oriented and theres only one of each kind, one not better than the other so they would'nt be locked.
