Middle light of power button blinking, should I be concerned?

I've had my Xbox 360 since April of this year and has been quite the trooper and powerhorse. Just a few hours ago, I've been playing Eternal Sonata and decided to stop to rest. When I turned on my console, the middle light in the power button (the power symbol) was blinking green rapidly.

Since then, I've turned it off and unplugged it, to let it cool.

I haven't read about people getting this, so I'm wondering... has anyone gotten this? And so, should I be concerned? Would this lead to the dreaded RRoD?

Any advice and/or stories are appreciated!

i hope someone could teach us about that.

i too am eager to learn about that so someday when the same thing happens to me, i'll be ready...

oh yes it does light like that during open & closing the dvd tray...

so it means the topic starters could have dvd tray problems?

I just got this blinking middle light as well. I am fixing an xbox with a failed dvd drive and currently have the original drive completely removed. Gutted and cleaned some of the internals and wanted to make sure everything was working before I put back in the DVD drive and closed up the box. My guess is the system is trying to access the DVD drive and can't as the only other time it blinks like that is when you open and close the DVD drive.yetihairball

Blinking controller light can mean many different things but none of them are serious.

Just ignore it and play your game.
