From the opening set pieces to the wide open vistas this game shows what can be achieved given the time to bloom,ok so the game has some poor ai at times and some pop up,but to be honest with all the devastation that occurs on screen I think this can be forgiven.The destruction available to the user once you have access to the higher class weapons is truly spectacular,smoke effects,fire effects,particle effects that come into their own after leveling an entire city block is a spectacle to behold....
The script in the game from the npcs can get a bit repetitive but to be honest thats not what this game is about...Its about revenge and big in your face explosions..and for this I give the game a big 9 outta 10...its kinda like GTA but with much better set pieces and the online co-op is absolutely amazing...no lag...twice the amount of destruction with no frame rate drops is a credit to the developers.......
The three characters u can choose from are all excellent too and its good to see a different take on the idea,rather than just having the same things happen no matter who u choose this game does indeed play differently due to the character u choose..
All in all this game LOOKS and SOUNDS great and has tons of stuff to do aside from the main storyline,anybody not sure about whether to buy this game,just rent it and anybody else whos into mass destruction and good humour in videogames should buy it.The amount of laughter I had after being asked to retrieve a weapon called the devastator,and thereafter seeing what it was,is one of the funniest moments Ive ever experienced in a video game...9 out of 10 for me!!!
ps.Ive had the game since wednesday and live in UK but I work for a company that lets us purchase the games as soon as they come into store...cheers for reading :D
