I hear its a very good game but Im worried about its similarities with GTA, I dont want to own this and GTA 4 if they're both gonna be nearly the same.

well its not better than GTA but its a bit different has some similarities, if you like GTA style games i say yes and trust me it will be nothing like GTAIV

Yeah, it's like GTA if you took out all of the things that made GTA great and filled the void with bloody diarrhea. That's about how enjoyable Saint's Row is... playing it is kinda like watching the hillbilly rape scene in "Deliverance" over and over and over again. It's brutal, and you can't help but be embarassed for the people involved.
The writing is terrible, the gameplay is boring and anything that is good about it (with the exception of aiming) was done a million times better in the GTA series.

hell yaes i think its better than gta WAY BETTER so far nuthing is better than GTA, not even this game...but it came pretty close to it
yeah it is if you can find it somewhere cheapter the better since it is an older game. only thing i didnt like is it was short and the online isnt anything specail

i have it...and must say its pretty fun...dont play it much since im on rainbow six right now... but the game is tight...its hard at times and very easy at times....i havent found a in between either i beat the mission fast or i stay on it for days.....
Saint's Row is a highly polished version of GTA, where everything is made to feel... like work. Really the aiming is great, the driving is good, the enemies are great, the story and voice acting is actually pretty good, customization up the a$$, and the graphics are superb, but by the end of the game, I just wished it was over already. It also has its flaws (pop-up, draw distance, road disappearing). This game also defines the checkpoint hunt, but at least you have a great GPS system. Really this game was great when I started, but left a really bad taste in my mouth when it finally left. This game is a chore, every time you want to do something, you need to do something else first, earn enough respect, and then you can complete the mission. Nothing is difficult it just takes time. This is what the game is like until the very end. Which actually does provide for an excellent climax. Game done.. so if you buy it, be prepared. If you rent it, be prepared. I will never play it again, and its actually one of the few games, I wouldn't mind trading in. That and Quake 4.

I love the game... what is great about this game is the amount of content in it... there is just soo much to do and see... if this game came out before GTA it would have had a 9/10 for sure. Plus, I only noticed the dissaperaing car glitch once in like 20 hours+ of play. I think they might have fixed it with the patch. Plus the multiplayer is fun too.
