How much bandwidth does just being connected to Xbox Live (on an Xbox 360) use per hour?

We have only 10 Gigabytes a month, mainly it is just me that uses it, my Mom may or may not use it at all (just for work sometimes). Every month we go over. I know playing online uses some, some games more or less than others, but I only want to know how much data just being connected and on Xbox Live uses an hour - no parties with mics, no multiplayer games - nothing. I know there is videos that are advertisements that are constantly loading on the homescreen, that alone must use a lot right? Someone please give me a best answer.

I can't say exactly, but just being connected probably only uses around 100mb per hour or less, depending on the advertisements. Playing online uses around 200/300mb per hour, and watching HD movies uses 2GB per hour or so.

I was just looking at my bandwith usage for the past hour, I was just surfing some random sites(and checking out Gamespot Forums) but also did some dishes....in that one hour my usage is 105 mb. So just to be connected without doing anything expect it to be a little below that on avg, 100 mb/hour avg sounds reasonable, if a bit on the high side.

I should mention though that this is on Xbox One, but I don't expect it to be much different on the 360.
