makes me wonder if i was the first one to complete the challenge, yeah i had trouble getting in!!!! it was a pain!!!! but i got through though,cant wait to get my shirt and game! lol good luck man!
the funny thing is i didnt care about achievments points, and then when i went to the xbox.com website i saw the news on the prizes they were given out, it was on february 9th that i saw it and at the time i had 7,300 gamer points..i saw the prizes and said "I MUST GET 10,000 ACHIEVMENT POINTS BY THE 12TH!!!" so i finished rainbow in realistic mode, and king kong and madden 06...and i saved the easiest ones for last, wich were nba 2k6 and college hoops 2k6, i got smart lol :D....as long as it gets me a free game than its all kool! lol
i feel sorry for the people who have more than 40,000 game points, it means they got rid of the easy games first a while back when they started...the newer games they have out now the achievment points are harder to get and more time consuming
Well I'm getting Crackdown this tuesday or wednesday which is the 20th or 21st I believe. I plan to be done with this challenge before the end of February. I really don't rent games and I only buy games that I want to play or whatever my lil bro likes which are mostly sports games.
lol that game was torture! it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring i was fixing to go nuts lol but the achievment points were easy to get so it was worth it :D
when u go to xbox.com/rewards click on "sign in" wich will be right in front of u when u go in the website, once u click it it will take u into another page, do not sign in, click "register now" on the left side, and from there its pretty much straight forward, make sure u are signed out of xbox.com before u do it
Nice work, thats amazing! I'm headed over to the video store tomorrow to rent King Kong and a basketball game, probably NBA2k6, and then I'm going to play them until I can't see straight. With any luck I'll have the first 1500 (I'm a level 2 gamer) done by tomorrow. I got about 100 done tonight playing GoW, but there's no way in heck I'm going to get 1000 points from that game, so I'm going to stick with the easy ones. I also have to say that I think this is going to be a huge success, just my opinion.
I would've been done by now but I didn't get MLB 2k6 in the mail from gamefly today like I expected. Tonight, I got all of the single player achievements out of NBA Live 07 and am working through the single player of GRAW on hard. That leaves me with 700 points to go, as of the moment, to round out my 1500. I just hope that MLB arrives tomorrow and that all of the copies of FF2 aren't gone by the time I hit those last achievements out of the park.

they do in Britain,I go one further than him and get all my games brand new,if I dont like it I just return it and say Im not satisfied with my purchase and would like a full refund,gotta love those loopholes though Tesco wont give you a refund even though it English law that any product you pay for and arent satisfied with can be returned for full refund no questions asked.
college hoops 2k6 also has easy achievments, i got them both and i finished both game achievments in 30 minutes, real easy 2,000 points lol trey555555
I rented that game over the weekend to help me clear 10k... had trouble with the "Block" achievement, but I found out that if you let the CPU handle your D, they get it for you, lol.
The registration site is just starting to respond for me now... after about 24 hrs, lol. Unbelieveable... this guy's done with the challenge, I'm not even done with registration. If people are getting it this quick, I might have to borrow King Kong from Gamestop or something... do cleanup on the rest of the games I own.
As badly as I want in on this thing, it's really beginning to piss me off because I waited for it to start (which was roughly around 6 lastnight) and once it was up and running, it wouldn't let me register (just gave me a blank screen for about a minute before saying that the page can't be displayed) and hoping that it's simply a glitch in the site, I waited and tried again today, only to find "Error, we're busy at the moment, please try again later". WTF!? I've already been waiting! Good lord, this site has more problems with it than a mac. I won't be turned away from entering (to all of you who posted tips earlier, I thank you for the ideas) but dang man, xbox is making me work for my participation. If anyone has any ideas that might help or can get through, i'm all ears. Happy achievement gathering!
Does this buying and returning work at EB Games? I can just buy a bunch of used games and return them as soon as I'm done with them?! Oh my gosh. New way to play for me. Achievements, they are all mine! So it will work at EB Games and all I have to do is say I'm not satisfied with them? Nothing else I have to do? Is that legal, or just morally wrong? Either way, it's an excellent strategy that I plan to use. I hate those stores, they charge you 65 bucks for a game, then give you 8 bucks when you trade it in, then sell it used for 55 bucks. If I just keep the receipt, I can return it? How do they not know about this?
It took me about 3-4 hours to register for this thing last night......for all who can't get through, just keep trying. Needless to say this xbox.com/rewards site is horrible.
Im totally confused, I started playing Madden 06 yesterday after I registered only to find out I still had to join the challenge lost a quick 600pts, now im not able to see the page where it shows how many points I need to finish I was able to get my gamercard though.
lol thats a really good idea, i cant believe i didnt think of this, i bet EB and gamestop and whatnot might notice stuff like this happening in the future with gamerpoint "rampages" or whatever you want to call them.
Woo hoo! It only took me a full day, but I finally beat the horendous registration page and am good to go and start earning gamerpoints! Heh, the registration for this event should be a challenge all by itself :D So I guess for all of you out there trying to register and are having difficulty, keep at it. Eventually you'll get through.
