How hyped are you for Sunset Overdrive?

This game has grown on me to the point where I bought an Xbox One for it (also for FH2, Halo:MCC, and Halo 5). While I have a small fear that it may get repetitive, it looks a lot more exciting than games like Infamous or Dead Rising. I'm even considering pre-ordering it.

This is one game that I am looking forward to. The action is right down my ally.

How shall I put it, I'm very much looking forward to this game and have the deluxe edition pre-loaded and ready to play, but I'm so busy with other great games now that I'm not thinking about it too much.

So many great games coming out now, and this is just one of them, let's see how it holds up to the hype, but based on all the videos I've seen of it, I pretty much know what to expect and that it will be a great sandbox title. Cannot wait to see how the 8 player online works, amongst other things.

The gameplay is eerily similar to Ratchet and Clank games I've played over the last decade. I enjoy them, but I don't usually buy them for full price anymore. I'm not excited per se, but this is like Ratchet and Clank gameplay mixed in a DeadRising/Infamous world.

I'm okay with that, but I'm not very HYPEd based on the many, many videos I watched, I already feel like I've played it before since I've mastered every Ratchet and Clank game, although this has some differences I feel it won't be enough to sustain my interest in the long run.

Yeah I'm looking forward to it... looks like fun. But yeah, just hope it doesn't get too repetitive, as there doesn't seem to be much of a story.

Not hyped for it. Maybe I will be surprised though and pick it up later.

Just got an Xbox One, so I think I'm gonna pick up Sunset Overddrive day one as my first xbox one game :)

Not my kinda game grinding on rails don't do it for me.

Looks awesome, it's basically everything I've been begging for in a game. Deep character customization, vibrant colors, crazy weapons, chaotic gameplay, parkour/traversal system, open world...finally a game that values fun over what's "realistic". I have mine pre-ordered and am patiently waiting :D

I don't have it preordered but it looks great. I tried a demo at a rock concert (they had a booth set up) and the game looks and plays great.

It looks like a lot of fun, it's the next game on my list once I save up some cash.

I have it preordered, looking forward to the online modes. Playing it safe with a physical copy in case the gameplay isn't my style. Just want to give it a shot.

A little hyped. Going to wait and see what kind of reception it gets before buying it. Lords of the Fallen comes out the same day, so I'll also be keeping an eye on it.

I'm amazingly hyped for this game. No reviews because of the embargo, no user reviews, nobody has any clue how it's going to play or what it's really like I can't wait for it. I am so hyped that I have imagined what it will be like to convince myself it will be amazing and now I have pre-ordered it with no clue what to expect because yes I really am that f***ing stupid.

I actually have this preordered with the White Xbox One bundle, it's going to be fun this coming Tuesday!

Reviews look promising. Metacritic has the game at an 83 so far (solid score). I can't wait to play it tomorrow!

Sounds good, I am glad as I put in a pre-order but started having those doubts if I had made the right decision.

It will be a bit Sunset Overcast just one down form hyped.

Game is fantastic so far, very fluid gameplay and great color palette. As much as I loved Dead Rising 3, this game takes it up another notch.....or several notches I should say.

@Garfield360UK: Same, I took a chance and put my faith in Insomniac. Based on reviews, it looks like it was a good bet. I'l be playing when I get home tonight.

I got in about 2 hours or so with the game, that's probably all I'll get to play til tomorrow. Pretty happy with things so far!

I like that you can return to your house to change any aspect of your character's appearance. You can select a different body/gender, different skin tone/face, different hairstyle/color, and switch out all of your clothes and accessories.

I spent most of my time trying to familiarize myself with the amps system, and seeing what all my character can do while jumping around and running all over the place. There are rails pretty much everywhere for you to grind on, and cars and other 'bouncy' items that you can trampoline jump off of. You can run along walls and swing around on lightpoles as well.

Ammunition is limited, so you have to collect ammo boxes that occasionally drop from ODs to refill your weapons, or else go and see this guy called Two-Hats that refills your ammo in exchange for Overdrive cans.

In my brief exploration of the first area of the city, I ran into just as many Scabs as I did ODs. One thing I noticed is that the streets aren't literally filled with enemies like in DR3, at least not so far, but the ODs will chase you and climb up buildings after you. ...So it is also important to grind and run around just to stay away from the ODs, because they are threatening up close.

Amps are pretty cool. If you grind and bounce off of stuff for a bit, you'll gain access to a new tier of powers. Stuff you bounce on can cause explosions, you can launch fireballs with your physical attack, and stun enemies with lightning-based ammo, among other things. So when you're facing tougher enemies, you'll want to find lots of stuff around the environment that you can grind and bounce around on to unlock the higher-tier powers.

The graphics are looking just fine so far. But idk, I was never one of those people that was bothered by non-cutting-edge graphics to begin with. Looking forward to playing some more!
