I've decided that an Xbox 360 can be so much more with High Definition so I'm going to invest in this particular LCD.

I think it's the best 32" I can get for a fair price. But I'm wondering, it cant go to 1080p, which is fine but how would I be able to play 1080i? I noticed when choosing the setting of definition on the Xbox dashboard you can only choose between 480p/720p/1080p.

How would I set it so that I play it with 1080i?

looks pretty good.  All you have to do is set your 360 to display in 1080i and it should display on your tv at 1080i.  But honestly, you wont see a difference between 1080i and 720p.

its max res is 1366 x 768 so I dont think it will accually display a 1080i picture for you it just supports and will display 1080i signals

well thass ok I guess. 720p is really good enough anyway I think. I played Gears of War on 720p and was jaw dropped amazed. I cant imagine 1080p being too much better

1080i just scans the image once so thus it doesnt need the full 1080p resolution to do and tvs with 1366 x 768 will display 1080i in the native resolution but some cant like the cheaper ones.

I actually prefer 720p over 1080i, the picture is always clean and crisp while 1080i sometimes gets blurry, like with GRAW for instance.

1080i scans through twice thats why its called interlace...

personally a waste of money, for the same price u could get a 50"+ dlp tvMister_Griffin
I don't think you can, DLPs are better T.V.s They are releasing a Slim wall mountable DLP t.v. it's gonna be awesome, wonder how they're gonna slim down the projector to make it smaller. It's the mirrors!

It's pointless to buy an HDTV nowadays that doesn't support 1080p.  Seriously, you'll be regretting that decision.  Save your pennies & get one that has 1080p support & at least 2 HDMI ports.

I agree with Colorado, I was looking into getting the Samsung LNS3251D 32" LCD but I'm putting my money towards their 56" DLP instead. The 1080p was the main factor in that, compounded by the fact that DLP gives a lot more screen size for the money.

It's kinda funny how you said about saving pennies cause I've been doing that.

I've been saving my pennies since I was 5 years old. Now I'm 23 years old, I just found out how much I have over the years. I have over 2,493.29. No joke, As much as I want one. I'm going to keep on adding up for my son and he could take it when I'm older and gray haha

Thats pretty good, I got 2 HDTV's, my 360 and Wii are hooked up to a 32" 720p LCD, with a 5.1 surround sound setup, and in our basement we got a 61" 1080p DLP with a 7.1 surround sound setup, with all the speakers being pretty much top of the line. That baby is just for HD movies and TV though.

yea i would go with the older model if i were you, they were selling them for like 799 around christmas time like 500 off at circuit city, i'm sure you can find a similar deal, my brother has that tv and it looks great with 360 games, you could save yourself a lot of money or buy the bigger 37 i think for the same price you are paying now
