HOnestly right now these are the best games out (Some of you have different prespectives and dont like any of these games and stuff i respect that fully) but still which one is better a kind of BIG question and if i were to pick I would pick Call of Duty
I'd give CoD the slight edge over Halo because of some really intense moments in the campaigns, along with better campaigns than Halo, but I give Halo a better fun factor. I can't judge Gears against them though since they're different genres.
CoD!!!! CoD4 is the best fps game out there, CoD 5 was ok... Gears of war is good too, but Halo is just plain bad... sorry fanboys, but Halo was nothing more than a mediocre fps for consoles, fps's, and rts's, are meant for PC.

TF2 without a doubt no competetion whatsoever in my opinion. Anyway if i had to choose between those three i'd say Halo 3 and COD4 are dead even. Both have a lot of pros and they're pretty even with cons to me at least. I prefer a bit of sci-fi and modern when i'm in the mood for multiplayer.

you're crazy, you should get it on pc, i have friends who play and i can tell its a lot better than on the 360, with all the mods and stuff.
I would say 1. COD 2. Gears 3. Halo3. I just did not get into Halo's multiplayer, but i did like the campaign. COD multiplayer and single player are top notch.
COD4 is the greatest game ever made lol... i stopped playing for about 6 months and now that ive gotten my interenet reconnected i can't stop playing it

you're crazy, you should get it on pc, i have friends who play and i can tell its a lot better than on the 360, with all the mods and stuff.
Yeah i know i should but i'd have to upgrade my computer,buy it for the pc,and buy a wired controller. I'm happy with what they're offering. 2Fort is my favorite map and i've literally spent at least 325 hours on that one map. Not to mention hackers create new maps all the time and they're pretty fun to play when i wanna mess around.
Halo 3 reigns king of multiplayer. Gears of War has the strongest campaign. Call of Duty's campaign is more fun than halo's and its multiplayer is fun than Gear's. At least thats how I see it.
I never played Gears Of War, but I never had much interest(Woo, some tough-as-nails, "badass" guy ripping alien's guts out...haven't seen that before...), but I played all three Halo shooters and Halo Wars, and I played CoD3 and CoD5, so I'd go with CoD. I like Halo's vehicles and Halo Wars is really fun, but Call Of Duty has better weapons IMO(=D Sniper rifles that I can use...oh le joy.), Nazi Zombies is fun, and I prefer CoD's control scheme by far(I'm decent at CoD, if I can say so myself, but Halo...I just can't do anything. And going prone is impossible and crouching's a pain.)...

you know you can set your controller so you can just click the joystick and you'll crouch lol

Why are you comparing these games? COD4 a modern F.P.S., Halo 3 a Sci-Fi F.P.S., and Gears 2 a semi-tactical Sci-Fi 3rd person shooter. BTW Gears is best.
I would say most definately Halo because it has the deepest multiplayer experience. The I would say that Gears of War 2 pulls out in second over COD because of the coolness of the campaign.
i will go with duty4 over halo, but not COD5 is under halo. so halo is 2 and gears 3. the multiplayer for duty and halo are far above gears', but it does have the best campaign.
Easily Call of Duty. That game is so intense as well as the mutliplayer. Halo has not been good since the first one. The campaings since then felt slapped together and rather stupid. (That probably is just me) And the mutliplayer is full of little kids! More so then Call of Duty. Not saying it doesn't have the same problem. And I never have been able to get in to GoW and I despise the multiplayer on that. So COD.
I usually judge my games on multiplayer since i can only play through a campaign enjoyable once. Gears 2had greatcampaign and co-op but the multi got old quick for me. I spent a lot of time on live for halo 3 and COD 4 and i like them pretty equal, depending on the mood i'm in. What edges Halo is the local multiplayer, Halo system link owns..........
