A poster on NeoGaf intentionally tries to break his new 360, this is what happens.

Red Dot of Death is confirmed:

Also, the new 360 shuts itself off before it can overheat. Smart move by Microsoft.

This will help the 360 from overheating unless somebody wraps a blanket around their 360 during the summer with no AC.

The old Xbox 360 will shut off to prevent itself from overheating, too. It flashes two red rings instead of three, and when you turn it back on it explains that it shut itself off to protect itself from the heat. I've had this happen to me before when I had my Xbox 360 in my entertainment center, playing GTA4 in the summer without the AC on.

On another note, I wonder if the new 360 supports the old HD-DVD drive that he's probably watching those movies on... :P

I knew about the Red Dot of death, but hey, things that are made electrically gets hot the more you use it or more you turn it on. Theirfore if everything is in a compacted space more heat builts up and cool air can't get out that well and leads to overheating.

The middle light turns red when there's hardware malfunction, just like Microsoft said at E3.
