i like 360 and it has few free roaming exclusives but the multi platform ones are good like saints row, gta, n fallout id like a brand new face to xbox like a fresh exclusive free-roaming adventure that will be a must-own for 360 owners like mario n zelda twilight princess for wii or LittleBigPlanet for PS3. thats just what i would like to see
Saint row 2 was overall just fun and the fact that you could go anywhere on the map was amazing. Try finding the secret developer island on that game and you will understand why i loved it so.
Oblivion is great because not only is it vast, but there is ALOT of dungeons out there waiting to be raided. i think i almost raided 60% of them and it took me a year to do so. Im currently running around as a lvl 49 defense type hero if anyone wants to know.
Grand Theft Auto IV. It's about the only one I've played that is a decent length and actually has some god honest replay value(sorry, I don't really think finding a bunch of assorted flags in Assassin's Creed much reason to replay).
Has to be Fallout3. Once you get good perks and your criticals are high you become afraid of nothing and the Wasteland becomes your little toy. Plus there is a lot to do when you are still randomly exploring.
Oh there are so many... Assassins Creed, Assassins Creed 2(I know it will be good), GTA IV, Saints Row 2, and Left for Dead ( Not a sandbox but there is some roaming to it so what the heck)
@ everyone who is saying oblivion I liked it but do you agree they need to do something about travel when it takes literally 10 minutes to get where your going if you cant fast travel.
My favorite is Just Cause 2- Simply because the whole map is open from the very beginning, and the 'chute+hook combo can lend some truly epic moments to the game. Otherwise it would be Red Dead Redemption, Mercenaries 2, and GTA4 free roam multiplayer. Never played the GTA4 story mode after the first mission.
