For some reason, I didn't talk to Callista and didn't get the quest to save Geoff Curnow at all! Or I talked to her but the side-quest didn't register in the list??? Or the most likely solution is that I fooled around using blink and didn't go the path game wanted me to go to that boat!!! So the question is, if I even save him by swapping the glasses and then tranquilizing Campbell, will the game register it as saving Geoff? Will Callista be grateful? Will I miss the achievement, still?

Is there any other way to trigger the quest if I didn't talk to Callista? No notes I found nor no conversations I overheard triggered it...

But then again I might have choked / tranquilized someone too early or didn't pick up some note, but I AM VERY METICULOUS person so the very fact that I somehow missed a convo with Callista is BEYOND SHOCKING, especially when I inspect every nook and cranny...

If I screwed up on this one, I'll hate this game forever.

The officer you have to save? I choked him out and left him there, when I got back to Hq he was MIA. Maybe killed for not protecting his boss, assuming lorewise.

You're supposed to dump his body in a safe location, a dumpster out of the immediate area. Anything else doesn't count.

The best thing to do is smash both the glasses in Campbell's office. When he sees this Campbell will switch tactics and escort Curnow downstairs to share the 'special vintage' with him. Follow them (neutralising or avoiding the Overseers in your path) and you'll end up in Campbell's secret room. While Curnow is examining a painting Campbell will move behind him and quietly draw his sword. Quickly take him out before he can gut the good captain and Curnow will grudgingly thank you for saving his life, after which he will make his way out of the building unmolested. Mission accomplished!

This guy got it. Also, if you just knock them both out, you have to carry captain curnow out to the dumpster. As for not even talking to callista and getting the quest in the first place... I have no idea. If you're not too far into the mission already, I'd say reload an earlier point, and talk to her before getting on the boat, just to be sure.

Unfortunately I did everything else in the mission, including finding all the runes / bone charms / secret rooms, etc. And the way the poster before suggested - i.e. waiting for them both to go Campbell's secret chamber was the way I did it...I'll try to let Cunrow run away and wait if the achievement pops up, or dumping his body too...Is this the closest dumpster to the boat where Samuel waits???

I'm not sure that any dumpster will work; if you have the quest it will point out a dumpster for you to take him to. Without the mission, I don't know if you can just drop him off anywhere.

Ok, I managed to do it, but I still didn't get an achievement, so probably if you didn't talk to Callista at all, you simply won't get any acknowledgment. However, I put his body in the dumpster first, and then took care of Campbell. I'll try to do the other way round. It must be the designated one, and there's a blank screen for a couple of seconds and sounds of putting him in there, so it works even if you didn't get the mission, however if it acknowledges it, it's a separate matter. And then I'll maybe try waiting for more minutes for him to escape by himself (or even follow him), and if that fails too, then I'll give up altogether.

Ok, I tried all possible configurations, but no matter what I do, it doesn't acknowledge me saving him and Callista thinks he's dead...So now the question is: does this affect the ending or the course of the game in any way? I can live without this achievement, I couldn't care less about it, but if this will mess up my ending or the game's world, then I will be disappointed...
