Dark Souls - 73 and a half hours. "I did it!"

That's how long it took me to beat it. I never summoned another player for help, truly "I did it." My soul level was 83 when I killed the final boss, using a fully upgraded magic Halberd. How about anyone on the forums? Have any of you beaten it yet? If so, did you ever use help? And more importantly, what soul level and weapon did you use to win?

Congrats! Damn that is some good value for that game!

I haven't gotten around to beating Demon's Souls yet, but I can't wait to get Dark Souls already.

I don't have it, my housemate does though and has supposedly put around 25+ hours plus and isn't that far in. He's currently trying to fight a giant spider woman thing in a nest that the entrance is covered by 3 giants.

This guy did it in an hour......and a half.

I'm 30hrs or so in and i got still got 1 1/2 more area to cover on the top side. before i head down... SO hopefully there is same amount of content to cover on the bottom half of the game or more!!!. I don't game enough to beat it yet lo. I work quite a bit and watch movies and stuff on netflix.

Okay, but one look at his health and it's clearly not his first playthrough. He's probably on NG++ or even +++. I'm just wondering if anyone else on the forums has done it yet, and how they fared. I am also curious to hear how others are doing in the game in general.

I beat it at 70 hours, level 80 using the dark knight's great axe(cannot recall its name). If you skipped pvp, you should definitely give it a go. I spent ALOT of my time doing pvp. So much fun :)

And firefox, I hope you're not bringing your negative perspective of Dark Souls into a celebratory thread such as this, right?

Congratulations on beating Dark Souls. I don't know if 73 and a half hours is a good time. But you finished the game.
