haha, vampire rain? that game sucks more than a french prostitute! I'm a huge fan of the splinter cell games, don't like MGS that much but i quess they're ok... would be fun if there were another series in the same genre that had the same quality as splinter cell and MGS
You can try Assassin's Creed. Personally I didn't care for it, found it repetitive, but you may like it for the very different setting and it has pretty good stealth features.
Metal Gear Solid 4 is the best I've played in the genre, though the cinematics were a little much... okay, a lot much. But the gameplay and graphics are second to none.
Other than that, I would say Assassin's Creed is a good one, though completely different from Splinter Cell and MGS. Replay value is a little low, however.
By modern do you mean recently made, or set in a modern setting?
Tenchu Z is a stealthy ninja game set in feudal Japan.
The Hitman series is very good, though I think only Blood Money has come out on 360.
Assassin's Creed is also a very good game, set in 1191AD at the time of the Crusades around Jerusalem. The combat is fairly easy, but if you enjoy free-roaming games and finding your own way around to perform an assassination then this would be a good choice for you.
Hitman: Blood Money, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, and Team Fortress 2 (if you're like me anyways) are all better choices. Tenchu Z isn't bad. Assassin's Creed can be great, or horrible. Very polarizing.
