audio has stopped working

OK last week everything was all fine and dandy sound worked then saturday I hooked up a cablebox using an hdmi socket 360 is still the hd pin type went out of town over the weekend and now theres no sound when I watch tv on the cable box theres sound and the TV is set to dolby digital and the same for the 360 any ideas

Are you saying you get no sound over HDMI, but did otherwise? If so, there is a known problem with the NXE and some HDMI devices. MS is supposedly working on a fix.
