oh god no! please not a microsoft handheld! i mean cmon, sony could barely pull it off with the psp! dont get me wrong, i have a psp and love it, but there are only a handful of games worth owning. the 360 is the best console out right now. the last thing microsoft needs is to try and focus on the 360 and a handheld system
Nintendo owns the handheld market. Sony tried with the PSP, and failed pretty miserably. Microsoft should just focus on the 360, which is already a great system.
This is how MS does business. Step 1. Launch a product into a new area. The product wont be made by them but normaly something purchased or modified from something else. Step 2. Give it a strong name. MS usualy doesnt own the name it wants so they sue to get it. You cant win in the court v the richest company in the world. Step 3. Release it for as cheap as you can and make heavy losses to get market share and the brand name out there. A 10billion loss is nothing to MS. Step 4. Release a follow up with better tech Step 5. Merge the product with the windows monopoly. Step 6. Markets theirs, they sit on it and that part of the industry dies. Based on that alone I can say you can expect word on a handheld within the next year or 2. MS isnt about competion, they go out to own a market. Sure this is a bad thing for everyone but they dont care, and with handheld market about the only one theyre not in.... theyll be working on it right now.
