2009 vs 2008

All right so 2008 was one of the best years in the business ever, both for the Xbox360 and the PS3. We had MGS4, GTA4, Fallout 3, LBP, Dead Space, Resistance 2... and loads more. Now that 2009 is here it pretty much pales in comparison to the bonanza of Must Have's of last year. I know we have Killzone 2, and Fallout 3 DLC/ GTA4 TLAD, Resident Evil 5 and games like Prototype, Splinter Cell Conviction, MAYBE God of War 3 (altough I highly doubt it'll come this year) but I still feel kinda let down with what's in store this year. Unless they announce a lot of new titles it looks like we'll have a dissapointing year after 2007/2008 which were all just better and better. I guess the bar was set too high with 2008.

Go ahead and post some of the games that have u excited that have a good chance of coming out this year so that I may have something to look forward to.

Also I don't want fanboyism on this thread pls. Neither console is better. Just say what great games u think we'll see on em this year. As for the Wii, well if u really feel there's something really good on there feel free to add it. (I must admit MadWorld looks pretty cool ;) )

Well, CoD MW2 is comming, but i still voted for 2008 was better. Fallout 3 was just... amazing xD

MM forgot about COD MW2. Pretty big hitter right there but still not enough ;)

Alan Wake could be good if they finally decide to release it.

Max Payne 3, made by Rockstar might be good but it just might be another Farcry 2 that has nothing to do with it's predecessor. That would kinda kill it for me :( . Woulda preferred the old developers to work on it.

You almost guarantee that it will be good if Rockstar has its hand in it.

2008 was just amazing. It wont be beaten for a while.

Maybe this'll be the year the PC giant Blizzard finally releases Starcraft 2 / Diablo 3. They could actually save this year ;) . Not to mention keeping PC gaming afloat :roll:

2008 was a good year...

but were all moving on.

so i think 2009 is going to be a good year too ... maybe even better :)

2008 was pretty awesome. I came late to the party and didn't buy most of the 2008 releases until the end of the year, but the games were awesome none the less. The only games that interest me as far as the 2009 releases go are Star Ocean 4, Ninja Blade, and Modern Warfare 2 somewhat.

I just wish to hear GRAW 3 this fall, but I fear this won't be so.
