i really want to get Oblivion, but the price mark of $59.99 is preventing me from even thinking about getting it. the price is too high and i was wondering if there would be a price drop anytime soon. the game has been out for about a year, but i'm surprised that it's still $59.99. so does anyone have any ideas?

It is a very popular game and alot of people are still getting it. SO I do not think the price is going to go down for a while still. It has been out for over a year still regular price. All you can do it pay the $59 and be happy, it is worth it. Long game and fun. Or look for stores to sell it for cheaper. I saw something in either best buy or circuit city it was $49.  But for it to be $29, it will not happen for a good while because people wil still buy it.

in the uk you can get it from play.com for £18 as opposed to the £50 launch price

The game is well worth full price though, it'll last you for at least twice as long as most other games out there.

Oblivion is worth more than $59.99 considering how long the typical game is now a days.

Prey was $59.99 when it came out...lasted 8 hours....obilvion I have gotten 200+ hours out of so by that logic I would pay $1500 for it :P

Man, you shouldn't even flinch at the $59.99 tag.  That game is the best buy you will make this year.

I'm sure a price drop will come this year accompanied by a Platinum Hits version.  Those tend to come out between a year to a year and a half after the initial release of a game.  There may even be a game of the year edition or something similar that has the expansion packs too.  There is no confirmation of this or anything though, just speculation becuase that happened with Morrowind.
