Xbox LIVE is down for maintenence today. *Still problems at the moment*

As you may know, Xbox LIVE is down for maintenence today. Just in case you were wondering.

Who knows? It could be anything. I believe the message they sent out it was to "improve the service" which could mean anything.

They usually send you a message to your Live inbox telling you that the service will be down, and updates are done automatically :)

They usually send you a message to your Live inbox telling you that the service will be down, and updates are done automatically :)

You usually get a message a few days before from Xbox LIVE on your console indicating about planned maintenance. Also, Major Nelson would probably be your best bet in keeping track on the status of Xbox LIVE and things coming to Marketplace.

by the way does anyone know when xbox live will be back on? (eastern time)

That's what I was thinking. Somewhat related to Grand Theft Auto IV. Since, when that title is out, we're probably going to see more players on LIVE who don't necessarily use it on a regular basis. That and purely because everyone (well, A LOT) will be turning on their Xbox 360s come April 29and then proceeding to insert their freshly produced GTAIV disc. :PThorpe89

Hopefully that'll include me. :D The last thing we need is an XBL crash on that day...

You probably didn't get a message because you only joined Live yesterday and the message usually goes out a few days before.

It was 8 hours from those original times. So, not necessarily 8 hours from now since we're a few hours into it.
