What do you wish the next XBOX had, even if it probably won't?

I wish you could play original xbox or 360 games at high resolution and graphics.

What the next Xbox needs to be absolutely perfect for me: backwards capability; a better-quality controller (love my controller, it's just a few issues I have had with Microsoft controllers); a new subscription level that is cheaper but only allows online play; more emphasis on games -- since it's, you know, a GAME console! I want to see the Games section of my dashboard before TV, or music, or whatever, which is how it currently is (after social) but it once was behind them both; I want Gold to surpass PS Plus, or at least match it. I want free games, and what's to stop me from buying a PS4 for this reason? Sure ordering Pizza Hut without having to do the dreadful list of events -- like having to, sigh, pick up my phooone, dial the numbeeeeer, talk, AH! -- but I think I'd rather have some innovation regarding games than pizza. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I want more IPs, obviously. Fable is awesome. The first Fable is why I wanted an original Xbox. Halo is great, Gears is wonderful, but I want more.

I want bigger servers more than anything. 32v32, 64v64, 100v100. This is important to me.

Some new IPs would obviously be nice. Something other than a new FPS, hopefully.

MMOs. I want real MMOs on console. Its been a long time coming.

A lot more social stuff would be cool.

Kinect 2! I want to see improved functionality, fully integrated into the FPS genre (and all other genres). Theres definitely some cool stuff they could be doing witht he Kinect that I would like to see. Such as: When i round a corner and come face to face with an enemy, the ability  to fall backward would be awesome. I'm sure theres a ton of other cool Kinect integreation that can be done, too. Since the Kinect 2 will probably come with every Xbox, I'm expecting it to be a more integral part of the control scheme. I will also delight in yelling at my Xbox. Goodbye crummy wireless headset mic with 20 minute battery life.

Graphics, particle effects, tons of NPCs, everything needs to be next level.

It needs properbackwards compatibility, I swear the backwards compatibility is almost redundant for the 360 since 1 in every 5 games (or even less) has some kind of ridiculous fault while playing.

Paying to play online is dumb, no matter how long or short I intend to play online, it should be freeand the only reason it still exists today is because people have been paying for it for over a decade so I wouldn't be surprised if it existed with Xbox Infinite, nor will I hope some divine intervention causes Microsoft to randomly abolish it when the only paid online service that has been scrutinised are EA online passes.

New IPs, don't get me wrong, Halo, Forza and Gears are fun games, I have no reason to fault them and they are well made games, but I know Microsoft can do more. They have Rare for example but they've done nothing more than ruin them when they didn't have to. I'm probably not one to care too much about a large amount of IPs though.

Fix the D-pad, and by default, it's not hard to do, once that's done the controller will be perfect. The 360 controller is already perfect but when that D-pad is needed, the current design is very noticeable when you try and use it.

I guess that's it really, I'm happy with the 360 and it's a well made system, but that extra push will make it so much better. I welcome anything else Microsoft introduces.

It doesn't need BC. Jesus, why are you worrying about getting the new Xbox if all you want is to play OLD 360 games on it??? That is so stupid. Keep your 360. If I buy a new console I want to play NEW games on it. I used to think BC was important, but then I grew a brain and realized it isn't. It's one of those features that sounds great on paper but in reality hardly ever gets used to the degree that people bitch about how much it should be included.

Well yes, no one said that this is the deciding factor of getting the 3rd Xbox hence the topic title 'wishlist'. Either complete or absolutely no backwards compatibility is fine. Fact is the principle that Microsoft did it for the 360 but it was absolutely terrible, a percentage of any consoles value will consist of many things including backwards compatibility if it's there, and the 360's BC sucked. That is all.
